I decided to try oil painting at the encouragement of my two kids, both accomplished in their own right after attending 4 year art schools.

After retiring from my interior decor business, learning to paint became an obsession, and picking up a brush every day was something I looked forward to, no matter how much time I could spend at the easel. I am fortunate to have a studio set up in both the Milwaukee area, as well as in Sarasota, Florida. Being self-taught, it’s a matter of learning every day wherever I can, as much as I can.

Inspiration comes from the many skilled artists of today, as well as the masters from the past.

I have two goals:

1. To improve daily, hoping for that one painting that produces better confidence in studio and plein air painting.

2. To develop my own style that others find appealing.

I remain grateful to my greatest supporters who encourage and inspire me every day: my husband Bob, son Dustin, daughter Samantha, and son-in-law Jake.
